Failure At List Completion

Good Morning Cupcakes!

It is Monday yet again.  Man, how in the heck does Monday come around so fast, but Friday takes forever to get here!

First and foremost; CONGRATS to KING GEORGE on his "Entertainer of the Year" from the ACM's last night.  He truly deserves this honor.  Not because he is retiring but because he truly is a fabulous entertainer.  I feel sad that future generations will not get the chance to experience Mr. Strait in his glory and amazingness!

Also, rest in peace Mickey Rooney and thank you for the years of humor you bestowed upon us.

This weekend I got absolutely nothing done that I was supposed to get done before my trip, which means it is crunch time!!!  I still have a few laundry items and the entire suitcase to pack!  I know it is only a  week but I have this weird issue where I like to be over prepared.  Not to mention I didn't get the posts I wanted done to schedule for my beauties!

Friday night had me out and about with two of my ladies and of course it was a blast.  It is a great feeling to have friends that you can go months without seeing or really talking to that much but the time never seems longer than a couple of days when you are finally together again.

Saturday was chock full of tee ball, a "Mixology" marathon and rum drinks at King's Fish.  There was supposed to be a movie in there, but of course that didn't happen!  I did however have a twin in the form of Jenn!  Coral shirts, blue jeans and brown boots.  Yes you can tell we are sisters!

Sunday was supposed to be full of getting ready but my darling mother side tracked me!  Instead I had a polish change; mini bar purchases for our flights and travel sized toiletries!

Like I said, no packing.  Ugh!  Well I am off to work and after that I get to go tap dancing!!!  I am a little ecstatic about that!!!

March Madness (and I don't mean Bball!)

Good Morning Sunshines!

Well it is Monday... The very last Monday of March!  I don't know about y'all but it flew right by for me, which I think is a good thing, but I am still pissed that no snow came our way.

My weekend ended up being a great weekend, seemed busy, but actually it was the perfect mix of busy and relaxation.  There was lots of girl time, which I didn't realize I really needed.  It is amazing what great friends can do for this girl's spirits.

Friday night I had an unexpected rendezvous with Candice and Kristal, we missed Amanda but it was great to catch up over some bud lights and appetizers.  Even if there was a supposed earthquake (that none of us felt... Just saying) we caught up, laughed and had a great time.

Saturday ended up being  quite the busy day for me and I am amazed I made it through with the 4 hours of sleep  I obtained the night before.  I finally got back to my lovely nail lady!  I missed her and it was fabulous to catch up and get all relaxed and refreshed.  I went on to pick up my travel size items for my trip next week!   When I got home I kicked back with some hard cider and admired my "princess sparkles" nails.

I finished off my Saturday in a rum kinda way.  We did a dinner at Jenn's house and polished off quite a bit of rum!!!!  I was surprised there was no hangover for me.  And look at these cute mason jar mugs, tots adorbs!  And don't mind the messes or the fact that we drank a shit ton of rum!

Sunday turned into a cleaning kind of day.  I shed four bags of clothing and about 25 pairs of shoes and headed to the good will.  The sad thing is that I still have way more shoes and clothing items than necessary.  Oh well, the Goodwill will bring me good karma.

Pledge America- January Update

As the month is coming to a quick close I wanted to update all of you with my Pledge for America update.  I actually haven't made any big purchases this month or small ones either, with exception to my fabulous Julep.com Maven box that came in as well as a few extras I ordered on the side.  I am pretty sure y'all know by now how much I adore the Julep brand for nail polish (I have yet to try any of their cosmetics).
Here is my review of my January Maven "It Girl" box-

Meet "Hope"- a satin finish opaque white.

Meet "Annemarie"- a semi opaque tan/nude color.  Think medium colored liquid foundation.

Meet "Farrah"- a satin finish, metallic lavender that is simply stunning.

Here is the look I created with my "It Girl" box.

I started with my Sally Hansen Triple Strong Advanced Gel Nail Fortifier (which you can get here.) I did two coats of "Farrah" and my accent nail is two coats of "Annemarie".   I took the pointy end of an orange stick and dotted "Hope" on top of the "Annemarie" on my accent nail.  I waited about 5 minutes before finishing with a top coat of the Sally Hansen.
The great thing about Julep is that it dries quickly, even their dark colors.  It is definitely worth it!

And because I love you all SO much here is the sunset view from last night.  It was beyond beautiful.  Just a reminder how fortunate we are for the beauty and tranquility of nature and how insignificant bad days are!
