The past few weeks I have been talking with a couple of my friends about my need to go on a trip. While my weekends are pretty much booked through summer, I have been researching and discovering places that I really want to explore.
Asheville, NC- The bloggers of Two Drifters currently reside in Asheville, North Carolina and seeing as I follow them on all social media outlets, let's just say I am envious. I want to go explore small coffee shops, festivals and the fall in this quaint city in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Boston, MA- BEAN TOWN! For as long as I can remember, I have been a fan of Boston... The history, the sports teams, the glory, the legends, the Big Green Monster. Everything Boston is awesome with me so it is high time that I plan a trip, maybe even to see my beloved Red Sox play a game.
Austin, TX- With Austin's live music scene (not just country, but rock too) and many bars it is a perfect destination. Barton Springs is a beautiful swimming hole I want to dive right into.
Memphis, TN- Known for blues and barbecue, Memphis has been on my travel list for as long as I can remember. When I was in Tennessee four years ago I was so bummed that none of my travel group wanted to make the trek to Memphis. I have a hankering for good food, live music and a bit of Elvis history as well.
Kalispell, MT- This is what I would refer to as an upcoming town. In the beauty of Montana's mountain ranges lies Kalispell which is also surrounded my several smaller towns, Glacier is close as is Flathead Lake. Several people have relocated in recent years creating a cultural and travel experience unlike anything else.
Steamboat Springs, CO- This smallish ski town in the heart of Colorado has been on my list for a couple of years. In fact I convinced a friend who had recently moved to Colorado to go check it out and report back to me. They reported back with "it was amazing". This is definitely a ski bums paradise in the midst of winter.
Jackson, WY- On the outskirts of Yellowstone National Park lies this upcoming ski town turned urban paradise. Jackson (aka Jackson Hole) is a ritzier ski area these days with million dollar homes and condos. I am not sure I could afford to stay, but it is a desire!
Which would you pick?

Can A Boot Girl Love Booties?
I am a boot girl. Through and through, I will always wear my worn in comfy boots. I have Harley boots, Cowboy boots, Sorels, Uggs and dare I say, a pair of Target rainboots? The one boot I have never been able to really grasp or love is the "bootie". At least that was up until this year. And by year, I mean this week.
I am seriously lusting after booties after years of saying they don't compare. I fully blame Pinterest and the adorable styles I keep being emailed by 6pm.com and Sole Society.
Here are the current booties I am full blown lusting after-

I Am Officially A Blater
I FINALLY had a blate with Juilette! It has only taken five months and one reschedule to get it done.
I won't lie I was SUPER nervous- which may seem weird, but in reality, I really wanted her to like me and want to be friends...
Can you smell my desperation?
We met at one of the best Mexican restaurants on the mountain where "one and done" margaritas flow and there are delicious fish tacos and guacamole. I think I suggested a pretty awesome place for our first little hang out.
The questions were totally normal-
J- "So wait are your Krista or Kristie?"
K- "Well I know it's weird but I go by both.. I guess I should clarify that..."
K-"So wait your family doesn't know you drink?"
J- "Well no, not really... I mean my parents don't drink."
Of course we both had to go buy $3.00 bottles of wine, which I must admit was really the highlight of it... Wandering through the grocery store with two bottles of wine and coffee creamer... #twentysomethingproblems.
It is really awesome having a fellow blogger live so close, especially living in a rural mountain community... I mean what are the odds of that happening?
I just can't wait to hang out again!

Southern California Weather
As many of you may know, or maybe not- I live in the mountains. So you are probably day dreaming about the wonderful wildlife and snow I must get... The kicker is, my mountains are in Southern California. While we are not foreign to weather or snow, I am bitter that we are having endless summer/ spring weather up on the mountain top.
I need snow! I need cold! I want to wear my boots and not feel over dressed or get over heated. I am wearing sandals for heaven's sake!
I know I shouldn't be complaining as the Mid West and East Coast are getting hammered, but seriously, where in the hell is my winter? I am over here day dreaming about the Arctic chills of Canada and have my heater in my house off and a window open so I get a little cold at night.
Yes I am crazy, but it makes me sad when I don't get to have my four seasons.

Who wouldn't want to dream about this or live in it?
So in Cliff's notes, Mother Nature stop being so dang tropical and give me some snow. Punxsutawney Phil has already declared 6 more weeks of winter, so I am more than ready to accept it!
