Christmas Shopping Help

Well here it is, NOVEMBER!

Which means I need to get my butt in gear and start Christmas shopping so I don't go for broke in December.

I will let you in on my secret- I only have 8 people I have to shop for and I normally base the gift amount between $25 and $50 depending on what I find.  That means on average I spend $37.50 per person and a grand total of $300 dollars on Christmas gifts.  Even better if I find Black Friday gift deals.

Here is the problem- I have NO idea what to get anyone this year!

My niece and nephew are pretty easy, you can't go wrong with pajamas, movies and toys, but what about everyone else.

I am pretty sure my sister and I have my mom done.

There is still dad and he is so hard to shop for.

Grandma gets done with a few gift cards.

The sisters and brother-in-law are still looming and I am completely stuck!

I need help so I can be done!

Let's Fast Forward....

I have a confession...  As happy as I was for it to be fall, I am now wishing it was Christmastime!  I know, I am totally, certifiably insane on this count, but I am over the fall colors, the pumpkins that keep rotting on me, the fall decor and I am ready for snow, Christmas lights, ornaments and lots of fires and Netflix nights.
Who am I kidding, I already have fires and Netflix nights weekly!

Here is how I know I have it bad:

I have a sick obsession with finding the perfect Christmas cards, even if I only send 8 out!

I am longingly pinning Christmas decor and budgeting out for said decor.

I stare at my Christmas boxes while I use my treadmill and keep thinking I might be able to get away with it.

I just don't do Halloween or Thanksgiving anymore and can't wait for them to be over.

I constantly wonder if November 1st is too soon to put up my tree.

I have been watching Christmas movies and sitcom specials on Netflix.
- Elf, watched it.
- White Chritsmas, done
- Nightmare Before Christmas, please!

I was very jealous of Jillian Harris on Snapchat because she was doing a  Christmas decor photo shoot... Why can't that be me?!?!
I have secretly started humming Christmas music.

There you have it... I think I am addicted to the Christmas season this year.  I am not ashamed, I am actually really looking forward to it.

Weekend Recap

Happiest Monday!

This weekend wasn't exactly as productive as I would have liked, but that is life.  It was actually nice to lounge around, drink wine while decorating and catch up on laundry.  I am so much fun, this I know.

 1. I decorated my Christmas tree while listening to Canadian punk music.  Nothing says Christmas like some good old punk.  I have to admit I am glad I started listening to punk again, it's been a long time.
2. Read some of Robert Frost's poetry.  My favorite "Stopping By The Woods On A Snowy Evening" with one of my favorite lines "These woods are lovely, dark and deep, but I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep."
3. A lovely mountain sunset.
4. I woke up like this... No really I did,  I was impressed with myself and the color my eyes decided to take on.
5. Newest art project- all I need is some paint, a horse shoe and a board.
6. An equestrian training video was in mail...  I get the weirdest shit.  Seriously, I have only ridden a horse a couple of times and that was when I was like 7.

Don't forget the Winter Wonderland Swap sign ups are going through this Friday, November 28.

How was your weekend?
