Friday's Favorites

It's Friday and I am so happy about that.  As much as time seems to be flying by, it is also VERY slow...  Most especially at work.

To celebrate TGIF, here are a few favorites from my week.

$1 Large drinks are back at participating McDonalds.  I am a sucker for the regular iced tea with lemon.  It gets me through the day and I love that it's just a $1.00!

Aleader Women's Running Shoes- I am a firm believer in more than one pair of shoes, especially if your feet get tired during walks/jogs/  I have Reeboks and Ascis that I love, but honestly both pairs are killing my feet.  While doing a search I came across these cuties.  The reviews are all good so I am thinking I may need to grab a pair.

This article about changing your life in 66 days.  I don't know if it is true, but I think it is worth trying out.

Football is 139 days away!!!  I cannot express how happy I am for football to be back in my life!  The official schedule was released yesterday and kickoff starts with The Chiefs at the Pats... We all know who is winning that one.

Have a great weekend!

Five Faves for Fri-Yay!

It is Friday, woo-hoo!!!!  This week has felt FOREVER long and I am so glad the weekend starts at 5 pm today.

With how much I have been stressed out lately I realized how much I don't bake anymore.  Growing up, I loved to bake.. Now days, not so much.  It sort of stresses me out when I think about baking, but that isn't stopping me from pinning a few recipes that I promise to try and incorporate into the recipe portion of the blog.

And because it is fall and I am a "basic" girl, minus the PSL,these are all pumpkin!  I know there is a pumpkin shortage going on, but whatever, go buy the last remaining bits of canned pumpkin and get baking with me.

By the way, I don't buy into the entire shortage, because I guarantee the ruined crops were for next year's pumpkin obsession and now they have found a way to raise their pumpkin prices.  Conspiracy theory, party of one.

These pumpkin cheesecake bars look delicious and seem relatively easy to whip up.

They had me at cream cheese with this pumpkin spice cake with cream cheese frosting... Yum!

Pumpkin Dump Cake- how easy?!?!  Seriously though, has anyone ever tried dump cakes?  I was shocked at how simple they are!!!

Ok so this isn't really baking, but let me tell you, this is Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe is where it is at.  I had it at a fall party last weekend and became obsessed with it.  I should have taken my firend up on the mason jar full.  Starbuck's PSL is too much for me, I often feel like I am drinking cologne.  This recipe can be made with an almond milk substituent which makes it more delicious in my opinion.

Pumpkin Delight... I love this recipe and I don't feel scared to try it because the only thing you have to bake is the crust, unless you go graham cracker crust and then voila, NO BAKING but it's like you baked.  Plus it just looks so darn pretty!

With that, I am off to make one of my many lists for grocery shopping.

Have a great weekend, y'all!

PS Don't forget about my love of Ebates!

Friday's Fall Favorites

Wednesday marked the first official day of fall which means pumpkin this and that, leaves changing colors and lots of Halloween decor.  I stopped by Target after my dental appointment (where I got an A+) and browsed their seasonal section.  Basically I fell in love with EVERYTHING.  The good news is that most stores have these have the items in stock.. The bad news, they don't sell them online.  Don't let that stop you, go get these things right now!

Those are just a few of the items I had to keep from jumping in basket.  You guys might as well call in sick for the rest of today and run to Target!

May's Favorites

Well another month has come and gone.  It is hard to believe that in 6 months Christmas decorations and holiday traditions will be up and planned.  Where in the heck has the year gone?  It seems the older I get, the faster the days, weeks, months and years go!

Since it is also the very Friday of May I wanted to share some of my favorites from this month with y'all.

Favorite quote:
I think it is important to remember we are the gate keepers to our own happiness.  We can't depend on the others to make us happy, we have to make that choice a million times a day on our own.

Favorite Sparkle:
These earrings from AvaHopeDesigns!  A portion of the proceeds goes to The Brigham & Women NICU in memory of Ava Hope.

Favorite Manicure;
Seriously, how cute are these nails?  I really need to work on my white line design skills!

Favorite Hairstyle:
So I still haven't seen "Frozen" yet I love, love, love this braid tutorial!  I cannot wait to try it out.

Favorite Party Idea:
Since it is now June and the 4th of July (my favorite holiday) is right around the corner I figured it was time to pin some ideas.  One of these years I will host a 4th of July party.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!  I am headed out to see Toby Keith (hopefully he is better than last time).

Friday's Favorites

I haven't really done a Friday's favorites in a hot minute so I figured I might as well strap my boots on, buck up and get one done for y'all.

And because it is Friday, here is my gift to you-
Yes I plan in partaking in a few liquid libations.

So much has been going on lately, well not in a crazy uber busy sort of way, but just in general, in life around me.  Next weekend I will be hitting up Alan Jackson in one of my favorite places ever (hint it's the river) and I can't wait for a little boat time.  If there is one thing I could do every. single. day. it would be being on the water!  I love it, I can't get enough.

Lately I have been googling and pinteresting sayings as I want to work on artistic style of writing from calligraphy to chalkboard writing.   I found this saying and instantly fell in love with it.  I have even thought about working some print magic too.

Loreal's Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush- I saw the below image on Pinterest and instantly fell in love and struck out on a hunt for it.  I finally found it at my local Target after days and days of checking back in with them.  I hit the jackpot!!!  I also picked up Iced Latte which is a little too white for me.  It is a cream like shadow with amazing pigmentation.  It goes on smooth and doesn't really crease.  You can get it at ulta.com.  It's around $8.00 but totally worth it!

I found this gem of a skirt on eShakti.  I haven't ordered it yet as I am waiting for my first order and want to see how the sizing is.  Stay tuned for an item review in the next month!
That is all that I have got.  Go out enjoy your Friday and weekend.  Think of me doing a 5K getting sprayed down with neon color powder and acting like an idiot.
